Terms and Conditions
Last updated: July 18, 2026
Welcome to Postal Photos. Postal Photos is operated by Postal Photos, LLC ("Postal Photos," "we," "our," or "us"). By subscribing to any of our postcard clubs or using our website, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
These Terms apply to subscribers and website visitors. Photographers who run a postcard club through Postal Photos are additionally governed by our separate Photographer Terms and Conditions.
1. Service Overview
Postal Photos helps photographers run postcard clubs. When you subscribe, you are purchasing a monthly postcard mailing featuring photography from the selected artist. Printing, packaging, and shipping are handled by Postal Photos on the photographer's behalf.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to subscribe or make a purchase. By subscribing, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and belongs to you.
3. Your Account
You may need an account to subscribe or manage your subscription. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us promptly at hello@postal.photos if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account and to keep it current. You may not create an account for anyone else without their permission, share your account, or use another person's account.
4. Subscription and Billing
Automatic Renewal Terms
- Your subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel it.
- You will be charged the then-current monthly subscription price at the start of each billing period.
- We will charge the payment method you provide, and it will continue to be charged until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time in your account at Postal Photos, or by emailing hello@postal.photos.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. There is no cancellation fee.
All subscriptions are monthly and renew automatically until canceled. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method the then-current subscription price each month until you cancel.
All subscription cutoff times are measured in U.S. Mountain Time. If you subscribe on or before the 15th of the month, your first postcard will be included in the following month's mailing. If you subscribe after the 15th, that mailing is already in production, so your first postcard will be included in the month after it.
How to Cancel
You may cancel at any time directly in your account. Because you signed up online, you can cancel online, in the same place, without calling us, emailing us, or speaking with anyone first. We will not require you to complete a retention offer or answer questions before canceling. If you would rather cancel by email, you can write to hello@postal.photos and we will process it for you.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. To avoid being charged for the following month, cancel before your next billing date. You will continue to receive any postcard already paid for.
Confirmation of Your Subscription
Immediately after you subscribe, we show you a confirmation page telling you when to expect your first mailing and how to manage your subscription. Our payment processor also sends you an email receipt confirming your subscription and the amount charged, which you can keep for your records.
These Terms, including the Automatic Renewal Terms above, remain available on our website at any time, and you can view or cancel your subscription in your account whenever you want.
No refunds are provided for partial months, lost mail, or cancellations after billing, except as provided in Section 13, where we choose to issue one at our discretion, or where a refund is required by law.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Your subscription details and payment method can be managed through your account or by contacting us.
5. Price Changes
We may change subscription prices. If we increase the price of your subscription, we will notify you by email at least thirty (30) days before the change takes effect, and the new price will apply to billing periods beginning after that notice period.
If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect in accordance with Section 4. Continuing your subscription after the new price takes effect means you accept it.
6. Shipping and Delivery
Postal Photos ships primarily via USPS. Delivery times may vary based on location and postal service conditions. Postal Photos is not responsible for undeliverable or misdirected mail due to an incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided by the customer.
7. Return Postcards
Some clubs allow you to send a return postcard to the photographer you subscribe to. Return postcards are routed through Postal Photos, which receives, processes, scans, and forwards them to the photographer. See our Privacy Policy for how this information is handled.
You keep ownership of anything you write or create on a return postcard. By sending one, you give Postal Photos permission to open, review, scan, store, and reproduce it, and to deliver both the physical postcard and a digital copy to the photographer you addressed it to, so that we can operate the return postcard service. This permission is limited to running the service and keeping our records of it. We will not publish your return postcard or use it in marketing without asking you first.
You are responsible for the content you send. You agree not to send anything that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes the rights of others, and not to include sensitive personal, financial, or confidential information. Postal Photos may, at its discretion, decline to process or forward any return postcard that violates these Terms or that we reasonably consider inappropriate, and we are not obligated to return or store such content.
Photographers are required, under our Photographer Terms and Conditions, to treat return postcard contents as confidential and not to publicly share them without your permission. Photographers are independent parties, however, and we do not control their conduct.
8. Program Changes and Discontinuation
Postcard clubs are run by independent photographers, and a photographer may leave Postal Photos or have their club discontinued. If the club you subscribe to ends for any reason, we will:
- notify you;
- transition your subscription to another Postal Photos club or offering so that your service continues uninterrupted; and
- give you the option to cancel instead.
Postal Photos determines which club or offering a transitioned subscription moves to. If you do not wish to be transitioned, you may cancel at any time in accordance with Section 4.
9. Content Responsibility
Each postcard's imagery and text are created by independent photographers and artists. Postal Photos curates and distributes this material but does not control or endorse the creative content. By subscribing, you acknowledge that the views, themes, or artistic choices expressed on postcards are solely those of the photographer and not of Postal Photos.
10. Intellectual Property
All photographs, artwork, and text remain the property of their respective creators. You may not reproduce, resell, or distribute any photographer's content without written permission from that photographer. Postal Photos holds only a limited license to use photographers' work in operating and promoting the service and cannot grant you permission on a photographer's behalf.
Postal Photos' own branding, website content, and materials remain our property and may not be reproduced without our written permission.
11. User Data Accuracy
Customers are responsible for ensuring that their contact, payment, and mailing information is accurate and up to date.
12. Third-Party Services
Postal Photos relies on third-party services, including, among others, Stripe for payments, to operate the service, and the specific providers we use may change over time. Your use of those services in connection with your subscription is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
13. Suspension and Termination by Postal Photos
We may suspend or terminate your account or subscription if you breach these Terms, if we reasonably suspect fraudulent or unlawful activity, if your payment method repeatedly fails or you initiate repeated chargebacks, or if you behave abusively toward a photographer, another subscriber, or our staff.
Where practical and appropriate, we will give you notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue first. If we terminate your subscription other than for your breach, we will refund any amount you have paid for postcards not yet mailed to you.
You may stop using our service at any time by canceling your subscription in accordance with Section 4.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our service and website are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Except as expressly stated in these Terms, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that postcards will arrive by any particular date, or that any specific photographer, club, or artwork will remain available.
Nothing in this Section limits any warranty or protection that cannot be disclaimed under applicable law, and some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this Section may not apply to you.
15. Limitation of Liability
Postal Photos is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including delays, postal losses, or printing errors. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for your current subscription period.
16. Force Majeure
Postal Photos is not responsible for delays or failure to deliver due to events beyond our control, including postal interruptions, natural disasters, or printing supply shortages.
17. Changes to Terms
Postal Photos may update these Terms at any time. Updates take effect when posted on our website, and continued use of our service means you accept those changes. Price changes are governed by Section 5.
18. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising under these Terms will first be attempted to be resolved informally. If a dispute is not resolved within sixty (60) days of written notice of the dispute, it shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Salt Lake County, Utah.
You may bring an individual claim in small claims court instead of arbitration, and either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in court to protect intellectual property or confidential information, without first proceeding to arbitration.
19. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, U.S.A., without regard to conflict of law principles. The venue for any dispute, including any arbitration under Section 18, shall be Salt Lake County, Utah.
20. Severability and Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if it cannot be modified, severed from these Terms. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later, and a waiver on one occasion does not waive that or any other provision on any other occasion.
21. Privacy
Our collection, use, and handling of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy, which applies to subscribers, website visitors, photographers, and anyone who sends a return postcard.
